Lettuce can be grown by sowing the seeds 1/8 inch in soil, 1” apart, and in rows 12-18” apart. Make sure to allow enough space between seeds for the lettuce to grow, as overcrowding can cause the lettuce to have a bitter taste. Keep the soil firm and moist and seedlings should appear within 7-10 days. While growing, keep the soil saturated. Fully mature and ready to harvest lettuce will take approximately 10 weeks.
